FAQ: Before Ordering

Q1: I HAVE READ MIXED REVIEWS, ARE THEY TRUE?

A: Our promise to all customers is that we will first seek to rectify or remake items that are not up to satisfaction. We will absorb the cost of returning the item to us for a remake.

We believe that everyone has a choice of deciding for themselves. On our part, we are constantly making improvements to our hardware, materials and crafting techniques.

Q2: CAN I ORDER FIRST AND SEND IN MY INCLUSIONS (HAIR/CORD/BREASTMILK) AT A LATER DATE?

A: We do not place a deadline on our orders. If there is a current promotion, you may order now and send in your inclusions weeks or even months later. We will only start on your order once your inclusions have been received.

Q3: IS IT OKAY TO SEND BREASTMILK VIA MAIL? WHAT IF THE BREASTMILK TURNS SOUR?

A: The preservation process formulated by our chemist allows us to use expired breastmilk. Please keep freshly expressed milk for your baby's consumption and send us leftovers or expired milk. We have created keepsakes for many international customers whose breastmilk took weeks to reach us via mail.

Q3: MY FRIEND AND I ARE INTERESTED IN PURCHASING JEWELLERY. CAN WE TAG OUR ORDERS TOGETHER IN ONE ORDER TO BE SENT TO ONE ADDRESS?

A: Unfortunately, we are unable to accept shared orders. Each order comes with a unique 4-digit order number which is used in the labeling of your inclusions. This number is tagged to your order for processing, casting, packing, mailing and other post-order work. To prevent miscommunication and errors in inclusion handling, kindly place your orders separately.

Q4: WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TYPES OF JEWELLERY HARDWARE?

A: We provide quality materials at affordable prices. Below are the types of jewellery hardware used.

Gold-plated Keepsake Jewelry
A base metal such as steel or brass is dipped into a bath of electroplating solution, with a lump of solid gold. When an electric current is applied, a thin layer of gold is deposited on the metal. Since the plating is quite thin, the plate (and hence the color) on findings can wear off.

Sterling Silver Keepsake Jewelry
Sterling Silver is a mixture of pure silver and some other metal, usually copper. The resulting alloy gives the silver strength. The standard is at least 92.5% silver. Hence the .925 stamp you see on some sterling silver items.

Vermeil Keepsake Jewelry
Gold Vermeil is sterling silver that has been gold-plated. Most of our vermeil is plated with 22K-24K gold. This is a good combination for those with allergy to normal, plated jewelry items. The difference between vermeil, and gold-filled, is in the thickness of the gold and the base metal used. In vermeil, the base is sterling silver and for Gold Vermeil there is 925 stamp on it as well.

Gold-filled Keepsake Jewelry
Also called rolled-gold. These jewelry items are not actually filled with gold. They are made of a base metal (usually brass or copper) covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process. Effectively a thick coat of gold: the gold content is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight. Use gold-filled items for your top-of-the-line jewelry. Usually made with 14k gold, it is hard wearing. With reasonable care it will not peel or flake, and should last as long as solid 14k gold jewelry. It is safe for most people with sensitive skin.

Gold jewelry reacts with chlorine. Never take your gold jewelry into a pool or spa.

Solid Gold Jewelry
These jewelry items are actual real Gold mixed with other metal to provide added strength and tarnish resistance. They have the highest concentration of gold hence have the best resistance to tarnish. Unlike Sterling Silver or vermeil items which require careful care and constant maintenance. Solid Gold Jewelry need very little maintenance. The concentration of gold is determine by the amount of karat present. A 14k Solid Gold consist of 58.5% gold, while an 18k Solid Gold consists of 75% gold. Pure 24k (99.9%) gold are usually too soft, making them not suitable for Jewelry that consist of diamonds and other precious stones. 18K gold is typically used for high-end jewelry like diamond engagement rings. While 14K gold rings are the most popular choice for wedding rings within the United States. In fact, nearly 90% of all wedding rings sold in the United States uses 14K gold. Singapore having an extremely humid climate, only solid gold can last the test of time. Choose Solid Gold Jewelry if you intend to have them last for many generations to come.

Q4: CAN I CHANGE MT ORDER AFTER PAYMENT AND CONFIRMATION?

A: Yes, you can make changes before we receive your inclusions. A $30 administrative fee will be charged for any change made. Do note that upon receiving your inclusions, we will send a confirmation email upon receiving your inclusions and no changes can be made after that. This is because the casting and preserving process will start immediately upon receiving your inclusions milk hence further changes cannot be made anymore. Kindly contact us on our should you decide to make any changes.

Q5: ARE THE CHARMS ABLE TO FIT PANDORA BRACELET?

A: All charms are compatible with most mainstream bracelet brands e.g. Pandora, Chamilia.

Q6: WILL MY PRODUCT LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THAT OF THE PICTURE?

A: As every item are handcrafted, it is impossible to ensure that your product will be exactly like the picture. Furthermore, the colour of your breastmilk greatly affects the colour of your product hence there will be slight variations from the picture of the product. That is the beauty of handcrafted products, every item is unique and represents your own memories.

Q7: MAY I USE LEFTOVER MILK FROM MY PREVIOUS ORDER(S)?

A: Due to past experience, we no longer allow such practice anymore. Although you may send more milk than the required 20ml/per item, but our storage containers only able to store an approximate 20-30ml for every item. We would require an average of 5 to 10 ml to make your item as we have a strict 2-cast policy, where we will recast your original order in the event that your first cast is undesirable. The remaining breastmilk will be stored for the purpose of warranty activation (if any). Hence, most customers who request to use their previous milk will leave us with only 10ml to cast, rendering defect rectification impossible and leaving us with a very thin margin for error. Hence we no longer allow such practice.

Q8: DO YOU ALLOW SPECIAL REQUESTS/ ALTERNATIVE CUSTOMIZATION?

A: Please send us an enquiry if you would like minor customisations e.g. adding glitter, alignment of inclusions, symbols etc. We are also taking in custom requests for 18K gold jewellery.

Q9: HOW DO WE KNOW IF OUR OWN INCLUSIONS ARE USED?

A: Most of our items allows the customizations of adding shimmers, glitter, flakes, hair, umbilical cord and even names. We have a total of 41 shimmers, glitters and flakes to choose from and we definitely can't fake umbilical cord, hair and names. The huge availability of customization makes it almost impossible for us to make the keepsake in advance.

We also use a computer aided system to tag your breastmilk to prevent mix up and that very same system will send you an email to confirm receipt of your breastmilk.

Our waiting period is up to 14 weeks from the date we receive your inclusions. Thank you for your patience in letting us work on your orders.
